As the end of summer lingers around the corner, I always take this time to look back on our busiest time of the year. What an amazing summer we have had here! If we haven’t already met, please allow me to introduce myself: I am Kim Price, the assistant manager at Pinkies in Lafayette. I take tremendous pride in my job because I have the privilege of leading a wonderful staff of technicians and desk staff. Another part of the job that I absolutely love is being able to meet and greet all of our amazing clients. I want to take a moment to say that I thoroughly enjoy interacting with each and every one of you when you come in for your services; you make my job extremely rewarding.
One of the highlights of the summer has definitely been the parties people have put together here at the salon. If you didn’t already know, let me fill you in on a secret. You can rent out the salon after hours to throw a mani/pedi party! Ladies believe me, it is as good as it sounds. You can bring food and drinks to entertain your friends whether it be for a bridal party, baby shower, or simply a fun night out with the girls!
While the clients here at Pinkies have been having a ton of fun this summer, they are not the only ones. Our skilled techs not only do nails better than anyone I have ever seen, they cook delicious food! Once a month, I pick out a Saturday to throw a potluck. I have learned, however, that it’s best that I only bring eating utensils and paper plates. I am a terrible cook and even after many cooking tips from my technicians, I am still pretty bad. They, on the other hand, cook everything from homemade eggrolls to mango salad with cilantro. How do you make a homemade eggroll? Even after a year and a half of working at Pinkies, I still know only two things about this—that they’re absolutely addicting and delicious…and to never eat MY homemade, half raw eggrolls.
We have so much fun here at Pinkies in Lafayette, so give us a call sometime and come visit our amazing team (and get a deluxe pedi while you’re at it)! Hope to see you all soon!
