You’ve heard about it here and there, from a friend, neighbor, family member.  Maybe you’ve even checked various websites to see who is offering it.  It all seems like a bit of a stretch – too good to be true even.  Resilient color without the harmful chemicals on your own nails?  Could it be true?  What is it, really?  You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Pinkies uses CND Shellac, the first hybrid nail polish.  This Shellac formula is “3-free,” meaning it does not include formaldehyde, toluene, or DBP (Phew).  Shellac will not damage your nail while applying, wearing, or removing.  Your soaps, body washes, and lotions will not affect your Shellac, it is designed for wear-ability! Shellac will make your nails flawless for 14 days, and often it will last longer.  If it is kept on for longer than 14 days, you may notice what CND calls a “line of demarcation,” meaning a space between the polish and where your cuticle grows.  They recommend that you stick to the 14 day reapplication appointments, as the adhesion will increase if kept on past this point.
